Approximately six new agreements have been signed to create industrial clusters under PPPs (public private partnerships) across the continent that have been concluded since June 2022.

The agreement signed on November 7, 2022 provided for an investment of $400 million in a first phase to develop pharmaceutical products and logistics on 549 hectares of three SEZs where agribusiness figures prominently alongside light industries. By the 4th quarter of 2024, these three zones should be operational.

In Nigeria, the creation of an industrial hub on an area of 6,300 hectares in Remo (Remo Economic Industrial Cluster) was the result of a PPP between Arise IIP and Ogun State. Indeed, the balance, 10%, is reserved for potential local investors. While 77.5% of the capital will be distributed for Arise IIP, 12.5% for Ogun State.
