In a context of emergence of systemic risks, the Federation of Insurance Companies (FANAF) wants to highlight a promising system of development in Africa.

On the occasion of the 46th General Assembly of FANAF, Makhtar Faye said " we promise to increase insurance that promotes development but also resilience in a context of emergence of systemic risks identified miques". He pointed out that "the few compulsory insurance products are the automobile and maritime faculties but the best known product is car insurance".

The chairman of the FANAF organizing committee, Souleymane Niane, for his part, said that "Africa represents only 10% of the global insurance market", alluding to "the life and non-life market". A reason to change course and promote a promising system of development in Africa. It should be noted that the meeting is held in Dakar under the theme "Systemic risks: insurance and resilience".
