An awareness and lighting seminar was organized last Saturday in Lagos by the Lagos State Physical Development Permit Authority for the leaders of the Nigeria Real Estate Development Association. This is an opportunity to avoid unnecessary delays in getting building permits.

The awareness seminar aims to enlighten participants on the requirements, procedures, and laws for rehabilitating, regularizing land titles, and clearing the adjacent waterfront to facilitate the licensing process in the state. According to LASPPA's managing director, Kehinde Osinaike, the seminar was organized to avoid unnecessary delays in obtaining building permits or properties sealed or demolished during construction for non-compliance with building regulations, documentation, legal payments, and taxation
