The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) will hold its 2020 Annual Meetings virtually from August 25 to 27, 2020, the institution said in a statement on Sunday.

The assemblies will include statutory meetings of the Board of Governors as well as the election of a Chair, the statement on the AfDB's website said.

During the current year, the Bank will hold the 55th meetings of the AfDB Board of Governors and the 46th annual meeting of the African Development Fund (ADF).

The meetings, which were scheduled to take place in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan during the month of May 2020, will bring together hundreds of delegates, including the ministers of finance and planning.

AfDB Governors represent 54 African countries and 27 non-regional countries.
