The Board of Directors of MIGA, the World Bank's investment guarantee agency, will decide on 8 March whether or not to grant renewable one-year coverage for a loan of $326.4 million USD that is currently being finalized between the British financial group Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and the Government of Senegal

La Banque mondiale a publié un résumé dans lequel elle indique que le crédit qu' envisage le British financial group Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) “guaranteed by MIGA” would finance short-term trade-related loans, mainly aimed at supporting the agricultural sector”. Noted that SCB is a regular at MIGA recently obtained the renewal of a guarantee of 349 million euros on a loan to the Development Bank of East African States. Indeed, if this guarantee is approved it would be the 2nd trade guarantee announced this year for a WAEMU country, and the 3rd for an African public authority
