In collaboration with the Superintendent of Banks of Panama (SBP) and the Panama Banking Association (ABP), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) presented the Guidelines for the ; integrity of the banking sector.

Intending to address the risks related to the lack of transparency that these entities may face in the development of their activities, banks and financial institutions in the Panamanian market have set up inter-collaboration. For the Superintendent of Banks, Amauri A. Castillo, “Through the integrity guidelines, we seek to strengthen the institutional capacity of small, medium and large banks in Panama to adopt these guidelines and thus improve governance, integrate the transparency and promote integrity in their management in order to prevent inappropriate practices.” Its guidelines are now available on the Panama Superintendent of Banks website.
