The last 36 months reflect a total disconnection of African stock exchanges from the evolution of the continent's raw materials. Prices have experienced a contrasting trend. The analysis and strategic support firm Riscura indicates that of the 8 main mining raw materials on the continent, only oil shows a drop in value over the period analyzed. With regard to agro-pastoral raw materials, only the value of livestock products has fallen out of a total of 7 products concerned. Out of a total of 14 stock market indices monitored on the performance of the financial markets, we note that only the South Africa All Share Index and the Tunindex have shown an upward trend over the past 36 months. Analysts predict that Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion plan for his country could rekindle inflation in the country and breathe new life into African stock markets.
