.A press release from the Ministry of Economy and Finance published on Wednesday, July 26, mentions that Mali has adopted an Amending Finance Law presenting a 4.75% increase in revenue for the 2023 fiscal year. According to the document, the adjusted budgetary revenues now amount to 2,304.475 billion FCFA ($3.8 billion), compared to 2,199.908 billion FCFA ($3.6 billion) in the initial budget, an increase of 104.568 billion FCFA. With regard to the adjusted expenditure forecasts, they amount to 2,994.470 billion FCFA, against 2,895.908 billion FCFA provided for in the initial Finance Law, an increase of 3.4% according to the
press release.The same press release indicates that the budget balance amounts to a deficit of 0.8%, rising from 695.955 billion FCFA initially projected to 689 billion FCFA in view of the changes.
