Installed last Friday in Yaoundé by the Director General of the Treasury, Financial and Monetary Cooperation at the Ministry of Finance (Minfi) Sylvester Moh Tangongho, the new Director of Insurance, Antoni Marie Jubilaire Aboui Mendoua has great challenges ahead of him. Among other things, the promotion of the insurance sector, market consolidation, adjustment of the legal and institutional framework, monitoring of companies in difficulty or under recovery, processing and dissemination of insurance information and regulation.

In addition to cooperation with national, subregional insurance and reinsurance organizations, Antoni Marie Jubilaire Aboui Mendoua will have to work to strengthen the capacity of the human capital under his command. The same applies to the monitoring of reforms and the payment of direct insurance compensation, in particular the motor vehicle guarantee fund and others.
Sylvester Moh Tangongho believes that insurance reforms are evolving in the Minfi, especially since it is an important sector, not only for the financing of the economy, but also for the public. He acknowledges that the public still has a bad image of insurance.
