The Gabonese government has launched a campaign to regulate artisanal miners in the gold, diamond and quarry materials sectors (sand, gravel, etc.) in order to equip them with artisanal exploration maps.

Through its campaign, the government wants to encourage the legal exercise of artisanal mining trades and, in the process, to arouse local interest in these sectors of activity.
