The National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC) published on Friday, October 27, 2023, its 2022 report on the state of the fight against corruption. He mentioned in this document that the State of Cameroon suffered global damage estimated at nearly 5 billion CFA francs (8 million dollars) in 2022 as a result of acts of corruption and similar offenses

The sum of 8 million dollars estimated for Cameroon represents a decrease of more than 39 billion CFA francs (63 million dollars) compared to the previous year according to the CONAC document. During the presentation of the report in Yaoundé, Dieudonné Massi Gams, president of CONAC, indicated that “2,603 denunciations were received via the green line, on 1517; 3,472 through administrative mail; 565 by email and 401 at the WhatsApp number. The misappropriation of public property appears to be the major offence with 1,135 occurrences
