From Monday 8 to Wednesday 10 September 2025 was held at the Al-Mourabitoune Convention Center in Nouakchott, the seventh edition of the “Mauritania 2025” Conference-Exhibition on Energy and Mines. She has was chaired by the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani.

Held under the theme “Mauritania, land of opportunities”, the 7th edition of the Conference-Exhibition” Mauritanide 2025” on Energy and Mines aims to highlight the vast potential of the country and to attract investments in the sectors of energy and mines. This fair is the most important platform in North West Africa for the mining and energy sectors.

Its meetings were well attended of national and international companies and professionals in the sector.

According to the Minister of Mines and Industry, M. Thiam Tijani, Mauritania is a land of resources and opportunities. He has emphasized that its mineral and energy resources constitute a lever fundamental to national development for decades and that today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the mining sector and energy, entitled “Modernization, Innovation and Sustainable Development”.

The minister emphasized the determination of the Mauritania to honor its commitments. On this occasion, he announced the opening from the country to all partners wishing to explore its vast mining potential and energetic, in order to build a responsible and fruitful cooperation, beneficial for the nation and its partners.

Also, the Minister of Mines and Industry explained that the department has initiated a comprehensive reform of legal and institutional framework in order to guarantee an investment climate stable, competitive and transparent. The vision is for the country to become a hub a leading mining and energy player in Africa and an influential player in international scene.

For his part, the CEO of the National Society Industrial and Mining (SNIM), Mr. Mohamed Vall Mohamed Telmidi, Mr. Mohamed Vall, explained to praised the effectiveness of the policies adopted by the company to enhance its economic resources and increase the efficiency of its services, emphasizing that these plans contribute directly to supporting the national economy.

It also changed to review the most significant achievements of the SNIM during the period past year, as well as its ambitious development prospects towards new projects that will strengthen its regional and international influence
