The Congolese government has allocated 3 billion CFA francs, or nearly 1.5 million USD, to the tourism sector since the beginning of the 2022 fiscal year. The information comes from the monthly report on the evolution of the budget execution of the Ministry of Budget.

The report reveals that the budget estimates for tourism sector expenditures were set at 12.3 billion FC, or more than six millionUSD, stating that during this period, the budgetary allocations for the Ministry of Tourism were executed at the rate of 24.3%.

Regarding the distribution of financial resources allocated to the Tourism sector, the source notes, the budget monitoring statements indicate that 2.2 billion FC were used for the remuneration of agents and executives against the budget forecasts set at 3.6 billion FC. It also notes that more than FC 1 billion was allocated to subsidies for auxiliary organizations.

For the whole of the year 2022, the government is called to mobilize an envelope of the order of 29,6 billion FC to ensure the operation of the Congolese tourist sector.
