On the sidelines of the meeting of French entrepreneurs, President Patrice Talon had discussions with the Director General of Unesco, Audrey Azoulay. On this occasion, the two personalities toured cultural cooperation between Benin and the Institution.

During the hearing, Unesco announced that the two partners had extended their cooperation framework agreement until 2027, which will allow new projects to be promoted together, in in particular in favour of culture and education. According to the Director-General of Unesco, Benin had the vision of placing culture at the heart of its development challenges, which is fully in line with the values and of Unesco.

The Director General Audrey Azoulay reassured that the institution will support Benin in creating the Museum of the Epic of the Amazons and the Kings of Abomey. The project is financed by grant and loan by the French Development Agency (AFD), to the tune of (22.95) billion CFA francs, or 35 million Euros. It will make it possible to meet the challenge of making tourism an economic development sector that creates wealth and jobs, thanks to its various components.
