The delegation, including Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs Franz Fayot, visited Rwanda and Niger from June 5 to 7.

Luxembourg's bilateral relations with Rwanda and Niger are historically focused on development cooperation. The Luxembourg delegation is composed of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Minister of Economy, Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs Franz Fayot (LSAP). Last year, the government signed the fourth Indicative Cooperation Program (ICP), a four-year development plan with Niger.145 million, the highest amount ever granted to a partner country.

During the visit to Rwanda, bilateral discussions focused on the economic and digital relations between Luxembourg and Rwanda. Luxembourg companies are active in Rwanda and several others have indicated their interest in doing business in the country.
