Prosecuted in a corruption case, the Director of Financial Affairs (DAF) of the High Authority for Audiovisual and Communication (HAAC), and the Assistant to the Person Responsible for Public Procurement (PRMP) will appear before the judges of the High Authority for the Suppression of economic and terrorist offences (CRIET) next November

According to sources, the trial of Raïmi Abdoul Moussa Batoko, former DAF of the HAAC and Ange Ahlan, a former PRMP assistant, began on November 13, 2023. The two managers of the institution in charge of regulating the media in Benin are being prosecuted for alleged acts of corruption relating to public procurement. They are placed in pre-trial detention on Friday 13 October and will be tried a month later.
