On the occasion of the Day of homage and recognition of the coffee-cocoa farmers of Côte d'Ivoire, the Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, Patrick Achi, announced that spending on the cocoa sector reached 12851.72 billion CFA francs over the last decade.

The cocoa sector continues to develop through several indicators, including the improvement of living conditions for producers. The extension is reflected in the fact that, after a battle conducted in concert with Ghana, the decent income differential (DRD) of $400 per ton of cocoa paid directly to the farmers and the floor price were obtained. As well as the Coffee-Cocoa producer card, which allows traceability (geolocation) of the product and the sale of cocoa.

The country has also achieved price stability. This price is now posted and known. To mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 health crisis on coffee-cocoa producers and exporters, a support fund of CFAF 17 billion, including CFAF 12 billion for producers and CFAF 5 billion for coffee-cocoa exporters, has been set up. In total, 12851.72 billion CFA francs have been spent on cocoa over the past 10 years.
