A study related to the impact of Covid-19 on FinTechs has just led to several operational and strategic recommendations to support these start-ups (FinTechs) that are developing innovative digital technology to optimize a financial service.

The study by MicroSave Consulting (MSC) recommends encouraging innovation and public-private partnerships, involving them in the process of solutions to end the crisis, creating an innovation unit within the government or simplifying regulations to facilitate compliance.
This survey reveals that Côte d'Ivoire had 37 FinTechs in 2020 including 28 in the digital payment sub-sector and the main highlight was the sharp increase in the number of investments in the start-up phase of FinTechs in Africa. Venture capital investment in Africa declined 29% to $1.43 billion in 2020, which is less than the decline in foreign direct investment on the continent.
