During the 2024 edition of the AfDB Group Annual Breakfast, which was held on 29 February 2024 with the diplomatic corps accredited in Côte d'Ivoire at the Palais Wia (ex-Villa Mobutu) in Abidjan-Cocody-Embassies, the President of the ADB Group Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, d said that the support of the multilateral cooperation institution to Côte d'Ivoire had increased from $460 million when it took office in 2015 to $3.1 billion in 2023

Akinwumi Adesina announced that the board of directors has approved 159 transactions, worth $10 billion for countries, representing the second highest level of financing in the Bank's history. After congratulating the President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara and the government for the successful organization of the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2023), the President of the AfDB Group publicly indicated that this significant impact of the AfDB on government action in Côte d'Ivoire is also due to the good collaboration between the Ivorian Executive and the pan-African cooperation institution multilateral, with Dr. Akinwumi Adesina
