The directors of the Water Distribution Company of Côte d'Ivoire (SODECI) have announced that shareholders will receive their dividend on July 27, 2021. For the 2020 financial year, this Abidjan-based company will pay a net global dividend of CFAF 3.037 billion, or €4.556 million.

The 2020 financial year ended with an after-tax profit of 4.599 billion FCFA, up 45% compared to 2019. The same upward trend was noted for turnover (+32%) with an achievement of 129 billion FCFA against 98.229 billion FCFA in 2019. SODECI's operating profit had, for its part, increased sharply by 88% to 6.54 billion FCFA against 3.49 billion FCFA at the end of the 2019 financial year. Thanks to this performance, the company has increased the financial envelope of its shareholders. Compared to the 9 million shares that make up the company's capital, the net dividend per share amounts to 337.5 FCFA against 292.5 FCFA in 2019, an increase of 45 FCFA. The net dividend that will be paid to shareholders represents 67.5% of the nominal value of the share which is 500 FCFA.
