The Deputy Director General of Taxes, M'bahia Bamba Maférima, announces in a press release dated Monday, April 25 that the tax services of Côte d'Ivoire have achieved a positive gap of more than $35.3 million in the first quarter of 2022.

The performance of the Directorate of Taxes of Côte d'Ivoire (DGI) comes a little less than four months after the implementation of a digitalized tax control system. This new system allows the DGI to "effectively monitor the traceability of tax audits at the hierarchy level". Thus, more than $1.17 billion could be collected by taxes as gross revenues. This is 3% more than expected. In addition, these revenues are up nearly 13% compared to those of 2021. For the second quarter of 2022, the authorities plan to raise nearly $1.6 billion.
