La Poste de Côte d'Ivoire is in "one month of salary arrears". The Ivorian Minister of Digital Economy, Telecommunications and Innovation, Roger Félix Adom, held a meeting with  staff last Wednesday in Abidjan.

The Post Office of Côte d'Ivoire was regulated in 2013 and the question that arose was how to ensure the future of this public institution. Faced with the difficulties, the company has already made two waves of redundancies. Trade unionist Arsène Ahoké, a member of Synapostel, speaking on behalf of the staff, noted that "stress and multifaceted suffering" is the daily lot of agents because of the uncertainty of the next day. For him, the employees had "already paid a heavy price" and it was up to the state to save the situation. " We will make sure to provide sustainable solutions that ensure that your daily life is pleasant and that your ends of the month are more than smiling ," reassured Roger Adom, during a visit to the premises of the Post Office of Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan. " It is up to me to work with you to find solutions and we will do it with the authorities of the Republic ," said the Minister of Digital Economy, indicating that the Ministry of budget is aware as well as the Prime Minister. The challenge for the public institution is now to adapt to the realities of the environment.
