The actors of the Decentralized Financial Systems (DFS) are strengthening their capacities through a training session that began on February 15th. This training session was organized by the Professional Association of Decentralized Financial Systems of Côte d'Ivoire (Apsfd-CI) with the financial support of the French Development Agency (Afd). The accounting framework for decentralized financial systems (DS) is at the heart of a training workshop that runs until Friday, February 26, 2021. This training, which includes the participation of agency directors, managers, accountants, internal controllers, loan officers, computer scientists, microfinance institutions in Côte d'Ivoire, aims to equip microfinance actors on the accounting standards of this sector in the area of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU). According to the Executive Director of the Apsfd-CI, Cyrille Tanoe, it is a question of mastering the accounting framework of the Sfd, whose specificity consists in standardizing and rationalizing the accounting standards and principles for all the actors of the WAEMU zone. He explained that participants would be experienced in presenting financial statements in accordance with current rules and procedures and in developing a manual of administrative, accounting and financial procedures. Also, they will be introduced on the standards and techniques of combined accounting and the methodology of accounts for Sfds not constituted in the mutualist form and controlling in a certain way (exclusive, joint or notable) one or more companies.
