The World Bank has approved $70 million for Togo to implement Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This envelope is intended for the most vulnerable populations, especially children and pregnant women, to access quality health services.
 
The disbursement approved by the International Development Association, a branch of the Bretton Woods institution, aims to support Togo's universal health coverage project.

"Health insurance and equitable access to essential health and nutrition services are major challenges for populations, especially in rural Togo, complementing our current interventions in the sector (REDISSE & Covid-19 health) and the support of other partners in maternal health, Hawa Wagué, World Bank Resident Representative in Togo," said Hawa Wagué, The World Bank's Resident Representative in Togo.
