Prime Minister Bernard Goumou announced before national councillors on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 that the Court for the Suppression of Economic and Financial Crimes (CRIEF) has so far indicted 150 people.

Out of 150 indicted persons, some are in custody according to Bernard Goumou and the others are on provisional release subject to the payment of bail. Indeed, the total fees paid by these defendants are estimated at 35 billion GNF according to the same source. Thus, these amounts are housed at the BCRG (Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea). On the other hand, the Head of Government also declared that 4 cases have been judged while 63 cases are pending. Under criminal and correctional hearings in the ordinary courts, more than 1,200 files are registered, Dr. Goumou informed.
