Faced with the high cost situation of basic necessities, the government has taken steps to facilitate farmers' access to inputs. Therefore, firm instructions have been given to prevent the fraudulent exit of inputs from the national territory. But customs seized a large shipment of these inputs last week.

Several vehicles smuggling agricultural inputs made available to farmers by the Beninese State were seized by the Beninese customs. A wide-body aircraft registered AX 5765 MD, a pickup truck, and a Toyota car registered BC 5723 RB were stopped by customs officials. They were smuggling SODECO inputs, and other chemicals needed to improve productivity in the coming seasons.
