The Angolan Ministry of Economy and Planning announced on Monday, October 01, 2023, that the African Development Bank (AfDB) will provide 160 million dollars to support the budget to improve cereal production and develop the livestock and agriculture sectors ; expensive in Angola.

A statement from the Ministry of Economy and Planning mentions that the first $100 million could be paid before the end of the year, and the remaining $60 million should be released during 2024. The meeting between the Angolan Ministry of Economy and Planning and the ADB also focused on the National Institute for Supporting Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Angola as well as the Programme for the Conversion of the Country's Informal Economy
