In order to ensure the development of the GIMpay infrastructure and its new associated ecosystem, currently under construction, GIM-UEMOA, the international organization in charge of the interbank payment system for the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) zone, has partnered with key players based in Luxembourg.

In supporting actors in the regional ecosystem in structuring their digital, secure and relevant offers, the GIMPay infrastructure and its new associated ecosystem represent GIM-UEMOA's new pooling proposal. Thus, in an increasingly digitized world, this partnership aims to provide UEMOA populations with effective and secure digital identity solutions, such as Open Banking, remote customer identification (e-KYC) and authentication solutions

Selon Minayegnan Coulibaly, PDG de GIM-UEMOA, GimPay acts as a catalyst for the initiatives of banks, electronic money institutions, decentralized financial services, fintechs, and national treasuries in improving the customer experience. And GIM-UEMOA are partnering with Luxembourg players such as Suricate Solutions, an expert in cybersecurity; LuxTrust for digital identity solutions; LuxHub for Open Banking; and i-Hub, for e-KYC
