With the aim of improving productivity and guaranteeing food self-sufficiency for the people of Cameroon, the World Bank (WB) supported the country in its program to modernize the agricultural sector. Indeed, it has opened a line of credit of 265 billion CFA francs (403 million dollars) through three financing agreements for the implementation of social and economic projects in the northern part of the country. The first agreement focused on the project to promote investments in the Logone Valley aimed at improving irrigation services, mainly the rehabilitation of irrigation and drainage infrastructures.
