A press release published on Sunday, December 21, 2025 mentions that the digitization of the financial operations of the General Fund d'Épargne du Congo (Cadeco SA) was presented as one of the actions carried out by its management in order to ensure its credibility in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Cadeco said in a statement that “in a context of strong institutional priorities, the action taken by the team director of the Caisse Générale d'Épargne du Congo aims primarily at the digitalization of financial transactions, an essential condition for restoration of the credibility of Cadeco SA”. According to the document, the Director General of this institution has initiated a dynamic of profound transformation that has strengthened its role in management and securing public resources, to proceed with banking effective populations throughout the national territory.

This dynamic has strengthened according to information in a field approach where operational descents in the services and at the counters were preferred in order to allow to identify dysfunctions, to identify priorities and to initiate a gradual transition to modern operational standards.
