Depuis lundi 23 octobre 2023, des civil aviation experts and technical managers from UEMOA member countries are preparing in Lomé to draw up a master plan for aerodromes and airport infrastructures. The activities end this Friday.

The discussions are devoted to the principles of planning and the development of short, medium and long-term forecasts for air operations; to economic factors and other data involved in the development of mass plans; and to the evaluation of the capacity of facilities and services. According to the managing director of the Lomé Tokoin Airport Corporation (SALT), Colonel Dimini Allahare, “master plans are intended to support the modernization of existing aerodromes regardless of their size, complexity or role. They provide information on the types of improvements to be made progressively.” The discussions will also make it possible to make up for the lack of master plans or a vision for the future of many airports in its member states
