La NOC et Sonatrach amended the memorandum of understanding signed in 2022 in order to relaunch the oil and gas activities of the Algerian public company in areas of interest 95/96 and 65 of the Ghadames Basin, in western Libya. The duration of energy collaboration between the two groups is extended by two years. In addition, the scope of cooperation between the two companies is expanded beyond technical cooperation in the oil and gas industry, renewable energies and the exchange of expertise. The objective of these changes is to create the necessary conditions for Sonatrach to be able to commit itself as soon as possible to the fulfilment of its outstanding contractual obligations
