The French courts have suspected four Beninese and one French woman of having tricked dozens of customers, from Europe to the United States, by offering them to buy fictitious agricultural equipment, the brain of the network that is presumably located in Benin.

On Friday, November 18, 2022, the French police and prosecutors informed that fraudsters were usurping the digital identity of companies from four companies that do not have a website, to trick their customers. In fact, around forty victims have been identified. Natural and legal persons have been listed, in France, Europe and as far as the United States.

According to the prosecutor's office, the damage “reported and estimated” is 520,000 euros, but the gains of the network, whose “brain would be in Benin”, were “probably much higher”. At the end of a year and a half of investigation by the police in Lille, in the north of France, the suspects, including the French partner of one of the Beninese, were arrested in the Paris region, in the center and south of France.
