Le 28 février dernier, le Interbank Group of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (GIM-UEMOA) and the Interbank Group of Electronic Banking and Electronic Transactions (GIMTEL), have signed a partnership agreement as part of the extension of their mutual acceptance networks.

Une note d' information publiée le lundi dernier a indiqué la collaboration entre GIM-UEMOA and GIMTEL is an initiative “which aims to facilitate secure electronic transactions for the populations of UEMOA and those of Mauritania”. The objective of GIMTEL is to promote the development and use of payment cards in Mauritania.
