Panama's face-to-face meeting with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) resulted in measures to defend the country's progress in the action plan to exit the grey list. The report of the session will have to be approved by the participants of the action plan and the FATF at the international level and published in June.

Panamanian authorities and EU ambassadors accredited to Panama recently met to review Panama's progress on the FATF Action Plan. Deputy Economy and Finance Minister Jorge L. Almengor announced that the results will be announced when the joint report is presented at a Global Forum meeting in mid-June. Almengor, who was summoned this Wednesday to appear before the Economic Committee of the National Assembly, said that at that meeting there was "significant exchange" of information and requests for additional data by the review group.
