The Board of Directors of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) delivered an assent in session on Wednesday 5 October in Yaoundé with a view to adoption, by the Committee& Ministerial meeting of the Central African Monetary Union (Umac), of the Cemac regulation. These regulations relate to the conditions for the exercise and control of Islamic finance activity in the region. This is the result of a process that has been in place for a few years.
