In order to finance its cereal farming project and the generalization of social security coverage, Morocco has signed an agreement with the African Development Bank (ADB). A partnership that covered an amount of more than 3.1 billion dirhams.

Two loan agreements have been signed between Morocco and the ADB. The first is part of the support program for the competitive and resilient development of cereal crops. It is worth 199 million euros and aims to contribute to the implementation of reforms aimed at developing cereal productivity and resilience, in order to guarantee food security and reduce dependence on cereal imports.

The second aims to support the priority project for the generalization of social protection. Universal health coverage, the extension of the pension system, the generalization of family benefits and the improvement of the governance and efficiency of the social protection system are the fields of vision of this agreement, which covers an amount of 87 million euros.
