The WAEMU Regional Mortgage Refinancing Fund (CRRH-UEMOA) has granted a loan of 500 million CFA francs to the Coopérative d'Epargne et de Crédit des Artisans du Togo (CECA) for the promotion of affordable housing financing for low-income households in Togo.

The CRRH-UEMOA granted a loan of 500,000,000 FCFA to the Coopérative d'Epargne et de CECA for the promotion of affordable housing financing for low-income households in Togo. This signing ceremony of the housing loan refinancing agreement is part of the extension of CRRH-UEMOA refinancing to decentralized financial systems (DFS). It brought together directors of the CRRH-UEMOA in Togo, shareholder banks, as well as SFDs under the supervision of the WAMU Banking Commission located in Togo. The documents were initialled by the Directors General of the CRRH-UEMOA, Christian Agossa and of the ECSC, Yombo Odanou.

This agreement aims to help the ECSC start financing housing loans for low- and/or irregular-income populations who are its customers. The eligibility criteria for housing loans from decentralized financial systems (DFS) for refinancing by the CRRH-UEMOA are the first beneficiary, destination, amount and guarantee. The admission of guarantees from national institutions is subject to evaluation by the CRRH-UEMOA.
