As part of the financing of two non-refundable economic cooperation programs in favor of Mali, the Japanese Ambassador to Mali, Daisuke Kuroki and the Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed on February 24, 2021 an agreement of 6.5 billion CFA francs. The Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Ambassador to Mali, Daisuke Kuroki, signed two exchanges of notes relating to the Economic and Social Development Program aimed at the fight against Covid-19, and the Project to Improve Equipment for Technical and Vocational Training Institutions in Bamako. The two exchanges of notes concern the supply of medical equipment, mostly manufactured in Japan, and the latest generation of equipment from the Central School for Industry, Commerce and Administration (Ecica), the Technical High School of Bamako, the Soumaoro Kanté Vocational Training Center (CFP/SK) and the Sonni Ali Ber Vocational Training Institute (IFP-SAB). Zeïni Moulaye, head of Malian diplomacy, called for the implementation of all the levers of cooperation. "A non-refundable donation for a total amount of 1.17 billion CFA francs, to assist the measures taken by the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs at the time," he said. The project to improve equipment for technical and vocational training institutions in the District of Bamako is financed to the tune of 5 billion CFA francs.
