The Beninese government received $35 million from the Green Fund on Thursday, July 21 to support the Ouémé Basin Climate Resilience Initiative. This program aims to strengthen the climate resilience of communities living in the basin.

The Green Climate Fund has granted 35 million dollars to the Beninese government under the Climate Resilience Initiative for the Ouémé Basin. According to the Minister of Living Environment, José Tonato, this project is an opportunity that consolidates the government's efforts in building the resilience of the natural and human system to the adverse effects of climate change.
