Benin will host the 11th West African Economic Monetary Union Customs Officers Forum in 2023. Recommendations were made to the UEMOA Commission; to customs administrations and to socio-professional organizations. There was a call for the creation of a regional working framework for sharing information and developing a security risk map; the support of member States in the implementation of the FZLECAF; and working to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the N& Additional Protocol deg; 003/2001 on rules of origin. According to Boukari Mamane, Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, representing the Minister of Finance of Niger and Tiekoura Hamadou Daouda, Secretary General of the Executive Office of SNAD-Niger, the forum's work went well.

Customs administrations were therefore urged to work to accelerate the dematerialization of tools and procedures in order to combat the non-tariff barriers provided for in the implementation of the FZLECAF and to organize training for agents, in particular on issues relating to armaments and the identification and control of dangerous goods. Tiekoura Hamadou Daouda, Secretary General of the Executive Board of SNAD-Niger, said: “For our part, as the organizing country, our union will spare no effort, in concert with the permanent secretariat of the forum, to ensure adequate follow-up to the effect of the implementation. Deduct recommendations.”
