The Sino-Beninese Economic, Trade and Investment Forum was held on Thursday, January 04, 2024 at CCI Benin. It is organized under the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Investment and Export Promotion Agency and the Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The objectives of the China-Benin Economic, Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum are multiple. The aim is in fact to highlight promising economic opportunities in China and Benin; to promote a strengthened partnership between Chinese and Beninese investors; to explore ways to open the markets of the two respective countries to their business communities. The Forum is part of the “strategic partnership” between China and Benin, which was strengthened in all areas with President Talon's state visit to China in 2023, according to the ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Benin.

A en croire the 1st Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Benin (CCI Benin), “this Forum represents more than a simple meeting. It is a platform for exchanges, dialogue and collaboration. This is an opportunity for us to chart a path together towards a prosperous and harmonious economic future for our nations. (...) I am confident that the discussions that will take place today will mark the beginning of a new era of dynamic and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Benin after this 1st Forum which was held in Beijing.”
