The BGFIBank Group and the Gabon Energy and Water Company sign a financing agreement. The first concerns a credit of 40 billion FCFA to support the Gabon Energy and Water Company (SEEG) in the implementation of its investment plan for the period 2022-2025. As for the second, it constitutes a mobilization of funds of 60 billion francs on the sub-regional financial market by BGFIBourse. 

This funding should promote an additional supply of drinking water of 60 thousand cubic meters per day throughout the country, through the construction of a new water station of 35000 M3 per day in the Grand Libreville and 20 boreholes in the same part of the Estuary Province; the reinforcement and securing of the water intake from Mandorove to Port-Gentil; the construction of a new drinking water station in the second arrondissement of Franceville and the strengthening of the drinking water supply of Makokou.

In the field of electricity, the major projects concern the installation of a second transformation bench (225/90 KV) at the Bisségué interconnection substation, the re authorization and reinforcement of the Moanda source substation, densification and reinforcement of the HTA/LV network around the source substation (90/20 KV) of port-6 and the construction of two micro-hydroelectric power plants in Mimongo (200 KW) and Mbigou (316 KW).
