The latest data for the Central Bank of African States Western (BCEAO) mention that establishments financial institutions maintain their reserves at a level well above regulatory requirements.

The reserves of banks and financial institutions of Togo amounted to 157.6 billion CFA francs as of August 31, 2025, against a regulatory minimum set at 71.5 billion. This level represents a surplus. record of 86.1 billion, representing a coverage ratio of 220%.

This evolution reflects both solidity increased Togolese banking sector and prudent management of resources available.

With this 220% ratio, the Togo is among the most rigorous countries in the Economic Union and West African Monetary Fund (UEMOA), behind Senegal which records the most high rate in the region, with 315%.
