The new container terminal at the Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA) will be delivered and put into service by November 2022. The announcement was made by Jule Kouadio, representing the Director General of the PAA, during a high-level panel held on Monday on the theme “Integrations into the global economy and the requirements for sustainable competitiveness.”

This container terminal is an infrastructure that can accommodate ships with a draft of 16 meters and over 12,500 TU, said Mr. Jule Kouadio, on the sidelines of this organized high-level panel & agrave; the International University of Côte d'Ivoire, in the presence of the Inspector General of State, Théophile Ahoua N'Doli.

The container terminal, once operational, will allow the reception and processing of 14,000 container ships carrying 16 m of draught (TE). With the success of the tests, the port of Abidjan is positioned as a catalyst for the Ivorian economy.
