A navy team from the North Naval Base Kamsar arrested suspected pirates on the high seas on Katcheck Island, Kanfarandé sub-prefecture, Boké Prefecture.

Thanks to the vigilance of the French Navy, four men were presented on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 to the Central Directorate of Judicial Investigations of the Gendarmerie with the exhibits (knives, life jackets and military uniforms). According to a publication made on the Facebook page of the High Command of the National Gendarmerie, these individuals had already “arrested” Guinean fishers' boats. It was there that they were arrested in the prefecture of Boké.
