The Vista Group becomes the leading banking group in Guinea. It has acquired BNP Paribas' majority stake in the capital of the International Bank for Trade and Industry of Guinea (BICIGUI), announces a statement sent to the Economist.

The Vista Bank Group wants to further leverage its digital and intra-African business strategies and consolidate its position as a world-class pan-African financial institution. With this in mind, he acquired BNP Paribas' majority stake in BICIGUI. The acquisition expands Vista's network of banks in Guinea, Sierra Leone, Gambia and Burkina Faso. Coming under the umbrella of Vista Bank, BICIGUI became Vista Guinea. This acquisition expands Vista's network of bank branches in Guinea, which already included 22 branches in Guinea, 9 branches in The Gambia, 19 branches in Sierra Leone and 18 branches in Burkina Faso with the recent acquisition of the Bank for Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Burkina Faso became Vista Bank Burkina.

The Vista Group is resolutely customer-oriented and continuously invests to carry out its digital strategy.  Once the integration is completed, BICIGUI customers will benefit from Vista's core banking system as well as its products, state-of-the-art digital and mobile banking services, features and solutions. In addition, Vista's customers will be able to benefit from its highly customer-centric approach and technology investments. It should be noted that Afreximbank supported Vista in structuring the financing of this strategic acquisition by filling the gap created by the withdrawal of international banks from the African continent. The support provided by Afreximbank will also enable new Vista Guinea to provide extensive services to increase business opportunities and investments in the region.  Martial Kapkpovi Goeh-Akue, former corporate officer of orabank Group, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Vista Guinea.
