Find all the economic and financial information on our Orishas Direct application to download on Play StoreThe West African Development Bank (BOAD) is committed to increasing its capacity to mobilize resources for Member States, said its President, Serge Ekué, at the end of an audience granted to him by Prime Minister Hamed Bakayoko, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in Abidjan.
"We have worked on ways to improve our balance sheet, the bank's ability to mobilize resources for states," said Mr. Ekué, adding that it is a question of "deploying a significant strike force to have more resources, more volume, more balance sheet, in order to deal with the subjects of the private and public sector".
According to him, the head of government expressed his concern to ensure that BOAD takes into account the socio-economic weight of Côte d'Ivoire, "that this weight is reflected in transactions, projects".
The new President of BOAD was appointed on 18 August 2020. He took office at the Institution's headquarters in Lomé, Togo, on 28 August after a handover ceremony with his predecessor, Christian Adovelande.
