This Wednesday, September 16, 2020, 22 years to the day after the start of its activities in 1998, the BRVM has just recorded a major technological evolution: the automatic routing of orders.

Our Stock Exchange has moved from centralized Electronic Listing (order entry at the BRVM) to Decentralized Electronic Listing (order entry by the SGI) to date to achieve the transmission of orders from clients' mobile phones, tablets, etc., to be routed to the BRVM (Online Exchange) trading system.

It is a technological development that strengthens the BRVM's position in the concert of innovative stock exchanges. It has three main objectives (i) to improve market liquidity; (ii) the reduction of order execution times; (iii) lower transaction costs.

This was an opportunity to salute the remarkable work done by all the stakeholders in the project under the leadership of CREPMF, the Market Regulatory Authority, which led to the effective implementation of the online stock exchange today.
