The launch of the first Senegalese satellite was initially planned for 2021, but due to the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic, the project is finally postponed to a later date. The launch of GaindeSat is now in 2024. In fact, the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has officially received the SenSat space program data reception and control center.
